Songwriting is a powerful tool of self expression. Its a means of sharing, constellating and finding beauty in one’s own story.  My workshops are focused on finding one’s own unique songwriting style through the practice and craft of combining poetry and music. 

Writers at all stages of their process are welcome. By diving deeply into our own stories we’ll surface with songs that are truly unique to each writer, uncovering the universal in the personal. 

In a nurturing and supportive small group we will:

• Share completed songs and songs in progress and receive feedback

• Work on honing specificity, creating powerful visuals, and storytelling by showing, not telling

• Experiment with forms: Object songs, Story songs, Conversation, Character, among others

• Strive to build community, creating the opportunity for support, accountability and ongoing collaborations
